having changed over to DSC, i sent off for an MMSI number and new licence. I was slightly aggravated when the form re appeared on my doorstep, saying i already had a (VHF) licence. No sign of my MMSI number.
So i phoned up.. and well, what service. After a quick e/mail request, i was phoned back after 20 mins with an MMSI number, and new licence on my doorstep the next day.
Lets put them in charge of the post office, the Cabinet and Railtrack.

Erm, yes but it took them 6 weeks to send me a License disc thinghy and it had the wrong Callsign on it! I then had to wait another couple of weeks for a new disc thinghy. However I was very impressed with their stand at the LBS. I managed to get a MMSI number for my new DSC set there and then,,,however it was the middle of February before I got my disc thinghy!!

In short I think they are totally rubbish but there you go/forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

This was probably because you filled in a new ships radio licence form.
What you need is form RA 367 which is amendments to ships radio licence.
This presumably by passes the new issue system.

All the same, a relatively impressive response from a call centre.
I presume it was SSL in Bristol?

Steve.
