I need someone to come and do some odds and ends on my ex-Thames Conservancy Patrol Launch.
Items like:-

re-varnishing of grab rails, edges, floor.
re-gluing of some deck tread edges

This isn't a major task and I don't need it done to show standards. Just made presentable.

Anyone know anyone local to me that will do all this?

Won't one of the guys at Sheridan do it as a private job - for a reasonable fee ?

Good idea but Andrew takes no prisoners and he wouldn't look kindly on it. I am so close to him he would most certainly find out. I don't want to fall out with him nor get anyone into trouble. I would prefer to book the job in formally with him and pay his rates, This is something I may have to do anyway.

Is Ashmount an ex TC patrol launch?

I thought the Robert Ives 29s were Thames Water Authority boats as the Thames Conservancy was taken into the TWA in 1972 and the 29s seem to be dated around 1974-1976.

I know the earlier cold moulded launches such as 'Mayfair' which is above Boulters were TC built and specified but not 100% sure on the 29s.

I'm interested in these particular boats.

She is Boat No. 2 (1972) I refer to her as a TC boat but she could well be TWA.

Interesting.

do you know about the other Robert Ives boats at all?

I'm thinking of Marsh Swan, Willow Brook, Little Pinotage (previously L'eau noire previously Blackwater?), Sit Pax, the white one ex police and there are some others.

I would like to compile records and histories of these launches as I believe they are important vessels the background of which should be recorded for future classic boat enthusiasts.

Maybe they'll be allowed in the TTBR one day

Nope! I know nothing about any of them. Being a Philistine (they were Greeks weren't they?) I only keep mine because for someone like me it is the ideal craft to own.
