Once again another great 'ditch do' at Ashmount. Shame it's our last rally
of the year. It never ceases to amaze me that the Ditch can always produce such a good weekend! We may not have 100's of members or a big clubhouse, but the friendliness,the warmth and the hospitality of the members of this old club makes me feel proud to be a member.

According to the Eileen the food wasn't just good it was excellent and I'm told the 'party' carried on quite late, well, late by ODCC standards

A great weekend again well done with the food, we just have to tempt some more of the downriverers to venture further upstream.

And me. Had a senior moment and turned upstream from Ashmount and ended up in Oxford as part of the Ditch's mini-cruise. Been years since we've been that far upstream. Got home today, Thursday!

Incidentally, we had a great meal at that pub behind Sandford Lock. For a chain (Chef & Brewer??) the food was superb.

I think the Barley Mow at Clifton Hamden is also a Chef & Brewer and has always provided good food when I've been in there.
