I have purchase some 2" octoplait does anyone out there know how to splice an end eye in it so i can make up some mooring ropes before the winter gales arrive?

If you can't find the instructions suggested: I found (if it's the same stuff that I'm thinking of) that treating all the doubled leads as single lines, make the eye and double the rope back along itself, each line following the lead one other, if that makes sense. I copied it from looking at a mooring line on a Big Ship. They seem to use 2" diametre Octoplait and I found it to be quite straightforward. Not nearly as difficult as splicing Kevlar.
