I had better get on and finish this before it gets any more boring.
After the calas on the south of Mallorca, the plan for the next night was to anchor at Rapita – a large bay rather than a cala.
Warlock had gone in there for an afternoon stop earlier this summer and didn’t come out for four days (I think they said).
A bit like anchoring is a swimming pool was the comment at the time.
The weather was beginning to turn when we arrived.
There were a couple of clouds in the sky and a little swell (read that as 12 inch waves).
It didn’t look much to me but the advice was that we should press on.
I do, however, have a video clip from earlier in the year which shows how the place should look.
Here it is

So we pressed on to Palma Bay. Skipped Palma completely – the comment was that there wasn’t much of interest there. Straight to Cala Portals.
I don’t have any good appropriate pics here but we anchored with a dozen or so other boats.
Some large yachts as well. It was really just a tea time stop. Sunny and warm though.

We then headed off – round the corner - for an overnight stop in Santa Ponsa.

The sea went glassy smooth again – and as usual we had the place to ourselves.
A very dirty windscreen but I think this pic gives the feeling of the evening.
I can’t really remember much of that night – I don’t remember going ashore – in fact I don’t remember much at all.
It was PARTY NIGHT on Warlock.
I do remember, though, having a very comfortable night at anchor and a splitting headache the following morning.
SWMBO did the rubbish run ashore on her own – I couldn’t face it.
We managed to get a quick weather forecast and it was clear that our weather window (luck) was running out.
There would be just enough time to get to Soller for the last night and to drive through some of the interesting places on the way.
Andraitx and this is Cala Pantaleu – I think.
And then through the Dragonera onto the north coast.
Jfm – we did pass Cala Deya and there was a boat in there but the werther by then was a bit overcast so we pressed on to Soller.
Although it wasn’t really sunny, it was still warm and the water temperature was good enough for a last swim.
We went ashore for dinner – now here are some interesting fishing boats.
Then it was off home before the forecast windy weather arrived.

Again just over 4 hours later (to a sunny welcome) we were back safely behind the lagoon on our home berth in Sant Carles.
We were away for just over a week – weather and company were perfect – what else could you want from life.
Thanks to Warlock and her crew for their fantastic photographs and for showing us their little haunts – a comment from them was Shhhhh – don’t tell anyone!!!
