its broke again and they can't fix it till next week.
what useless service. the connection has been rubbish or non existent since they arrived.
100 quid for a year and I can't use it.
so I now have the cost of the O2 connection on the xda or go home and miss a weekend on the boat.
the last time I e-mailed them and asked if they would credit me they didn't bother answering.
does any other marina have the same problem?

Really annoying and frustrating for you.

We in MDL can enjoy WiFi provided by an outfit called Spark. Cannot speak highly enough of the service they give. One of the joys of being on the boat, specially so considering the amount of time not charged, included for those of us who pay at the annual rate. Do your outfit really charge £100 per year? I use dial-up, because I doubt I'd get the value of a broadband connection. Nice in the marina though!

Why do you use O2? I use T-mobile on pay as you go for GPRS - you pay a maximum of £1 a day for internet access and its fine for e-mail. I use it all the time on the boat and have found it pretty reliable.

it's back on Doug and seems okay at the moment. But will agree with you it is not good. Marginally better since Spark took it over.

thats interesting....according to Brigid Mary, who i dont doubt, Lowestoft Oceanwave is now run by Spark.
When it arrived i paid 100 quid for a year on wireless.
you suggest Spark charge less.....so when the renewal comes we should be paying less......hmmm i wonder?????

what are Spark charging in MDL marina's?

Doug you only had to go under the bridge into the RNSYC and you would have had free WIFI access. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
