Ocean village, visitor pontoon?

Hi all, we're in Itchen Marina which is a 15 min walk away from Ocean village.

We'd like to and visit the 2 bars there (are there any more than 2?) via our tender - less effort than walking and more enjoyable.

Is there a visitor pontoon where we can tie up for a few hours?

No visitor pontoon, the dockmaster will just alocate berth on arrival. I think they do 4 hour moorings

I suspect you could just ask nicely and leave a tender by the dockmaster's office.

You could always go the other way up to Shamrock and visit "The Waterfront" /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Been there done that! Last year we stayed at Shamrock quay for the night and took the tender up the Itchen to OV. I asked the Dockmaster nicely if he would allow us to moor for a couple of hours while we had a meal and a drink. He directed us behind the office just inside the harbour and didnt charge us. I can recommend the Royal Southampton YC--Good food and a warm welcome. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

find a freindly person and moor up to them as a visitor/guest of their boat???

We're on H01, which is a bit further away but we have about 20' space in front of us, so feel free anytime, they can't get anything permanent on there as blocks waterway too much, but a tender, no probs.. P
