Having now read the other post regards the underwater obstruction at Henley,it has become obvious that this was not just another case of sods law and part and parcel of boating hazards..
Would like to take the matter a little further and contact the council.

Who do I need to contact and if anybody else has any details of previous damage to any boats perhaps we could communicate with view to taking some collective action..
PM me

.

Just had a quick read through the T & Cs
All the usual disclaimers etc etc about not being responsible for any damage, however caused.
However if the council were aware of a problem and failed to act, perhaps possible case to answer, stronger if evidence of previous reported damage to other craft can be collated.
Feeling the urge to send off a proper old fashioned snail mail in the direction of the Peoples Republic of Henley to get a response:)

Have sent off e-mail to get a date on the record to get proceedings under way.
Last time had a similar thing to this, took me two years to get it sorted.
Usually begins with somebody refusing to accepting any responsibility followed by long periods of hoping you will get fed up and go away type communications.
Really does depend if anybody else has warned them of a problem and they have failed to act.
