My boat has a 20x20" opening hatch. The only marking is the word Pasport, and it leaks.

I've taken it off and re-sealed the frame, but the leak now seems to be between the glass and the frame.. There seems to be a mixture of a foam rubber seal and some sealant goo stuff...

I understand Pasport don't exist any more, so what can I do? (apart from pay £400+ for a new hatch)

Is it worth trying to cut through the old sealant and risk damaging the foam and cleaning it and refitting it or something, or should I just bodge it as best I can?

Seaclear Marine Windows in Barming nr Maidstone specialise in refurbing old windows . Maybe they could help. http://www.seaclear.co.uk/

Alternatively Hadlow Marine nr Tonbridge http://hadlo-43547-001.dsvr.co.uk/

Either will sell you the materials for DIY I guess

No worries,

Although i had a shock when i saw what my goiot hatches now cost, man i nearly fell over. It was summer 2011 when i bought 2 T20's for the saloon, 1 T70 hatch for the forecabin and a T10 for the heads and altogether that lot cost me just under £500. I really wanted Lewmar's but couldn't afford them so settled for what i think is a lower quality hatch but fair enough i thought as they were less than half the cost but now the goiot T60 hatch alone costs £360, just nuts.

cheers
