obsessed with boating

I dont Know whats wrong with me (nothing) but cant do anyhing but go sailing my powerboat about,I get bored any w/end Im not out on the water going somewhere different.
Spend half the evening thinking about my next trip planing,looking up boating forums,go to bed reading mbm or mby or some guide to cruising.
Is there life after boating ?

Someone once said to me. how can you justify having a boat? They cost so much and are in use in this country for half a year sometimes less.
But that’s easy for me to answer, you see I enjoy my boat 365 days a year.

No dont mind at all....

Got older wiser and poorer, decided it was more fun to play on the water than work on it, especially in the winter months !

And finally went over to sail boats about seven years ago which is something i wish i had done years earlier in life.

Do you know you could be describing me there, I had all the symptoms you describe back in 99 when I bought my Crown 37. Evenings spent planning my next trip and putting in the waypoints on my PC. Studying weather sites at every opportunity in anticipation of getting a fine day.

Studying MBM & MBY from cover to cover mostly in the little room. Hours on this forum, gave up other hobbies such as motorcycling.

The addiction got worse and I ended up starting a sea school. Afraid your hooked old chap

The mistake your making is trying to sail your powerboat. They go better with engines, unless you put a big stick and sails on it.
