This was a trip over 4 days in half term and the weather was great
1) Lots of friendly helpful lock keepers
2) Very few boats about
3) Vast numbers of unlicensed boats many of them big barges. When are the EA going to do something about this, probably never in which case they should look at outsourcing the problem.
4) Increasing numbers of liveaboards encouraged by no license enforcement and results in a lack of moorings for overnight visitors
4) The River has long and short stretches of shallow water at no more than 1mtr. eg going upstream on the starboard side leading up to Hurley lock cut and below Goring and Benson locks.
