I anchored in Osborne Bay on Monday BH. I usually avoid it as the last time i was there ( a year or two ago) it was full of water skiers and jet skiers screaming through the anchorage every five minutes. I vowed then not to go back anytine soon. Well, on Monday I did go back. I was very pleasantly suprised (amazed) that the water skiers and jet skis for the most part stayed out side of where most boats were anchored. I'm not sure what has caused this breakout of common sense but it was very much appreciated. BTW I did see a QHM rib patroling the anchorage and he did go chasing after a jet skier at one point but he (QHM) was only there for a few minutes before going back to Pompey. I vaguely remember hearing about a jetski colliding with a boat some time back reulting in a fatality, perhaps that is the reason people are being more sensible and because it is being patrolled more.

I think they have all moved to Studland Bay, it was a nightmare of Sunday including some idiot in a speedboat blasting through the moorings at a high rate of knots. I'm normally very tolerant to these things but this was just plain dangerous

That's interesting, I was anchored in Studland Bay on Friday. I noticed they have speed limit bouys there now. I didn't see anyone behaving badly within the speed restricted area. I was anchored outside of the bouys but still found other people relatively considerate but I appreciate that Sunday must have been much busier.
