Oars ?

Can anybody on the forum let me know a cheap place to get a pair of oars ? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I was rowing back from my boat earlier (tidal mooring) and managed to snap one. Lucky for me that I was only 10 feet away from the slip at the time or I could have ended up drifting out to the Bristol Channel. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif I should have added they are for a 10' long 4' 6" wide heavy fibreglass dinghy. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Wooden oars would be nice but I'm not that fussy ! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: Oars ?

I looked at those on ebay earlier but think they might be a bit short and not really strong enough.

My boat is moored in a very fast running tidal river in the Bristol Channel. My boat is also about 600 metres from the slip.

No, I can't afford an outboard ! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Two bits of 2" pole with a couple of bits of ply screwed on with a lick of paint - useful but ugly enough to not get stolen.
