If its a 20mm thread it should be a 30mm socket if it is to ISO standard bolt head sizes but often they can be 27mm head.

Perhaps the appropriate prop removal tool would be a good investment. But be sure to buy the correct one for your outdrives.
Undoing the lock nut on the second prop is perhaps the greater challenge without the appropriate tool.
Part ref 873058 for 290dp-e , according to Keypart

19mm from what I recall.

And as said above, the 'prop removal tool' is a MUST HAVE!

Cannot be a 19mm nut on a 20mm thread as the thread is a larger diameter than the flats on the nut, for a 19mm head size the thread must be M12 and not 20mm as the video states, onless it isn't a nut, but a bolt instead.

tnx all, finally found the spec in my boat doc, it is indeed a 19mm nut size.
(yes i do have a tool for the larger nut further in)

just in case any one else reads this, remove the prop on a regular basis and grease it again, else it gets stuck, experience ...

Removing the props on an annual basis should be part of every 'winterise' schedule, IMO. I remove the props and clean them (brick cleaner), clean off old grease from the shafts (diesel on a rag works a treat), dry off, apply fresh grease and back on.

I do this with everything I own with a prop / shaft and i've never had an issue... prop slides off easily every year. Takes very little time.
