Now you must check in and out of Italy

It was at the G7 conference in Taormina in May, 2017, that Croatia made the request for a "Sospensione Schengen" to the EU for all leisure craft arriving from Italy to prove the crew were bona fide. This had much to do with no other agreement having been made on any sort of plan to solve the crisis of arriving migrants in Italy and Croatia's fear that they would move on to them.

The regulation was in force by the end of May 2017 and I - along with all other berth-holders in my Italian marina - was issued with a circular informing of the requirement when departing for Croatia.
