Now that\'s what I call lucky

Dalts hasn't had the greatest luck on the Velux 'daft lads round the world' race. But now, despite having to put into port to repair his rudder, falling ill while there, and having all his comms kit nicked, he's had the greatest stroke of luck of all. His keel (actually, the bulb of his keel) fell off while he was alongside. Imagine if it had happened a few hours after leaving.

That was my first thought - a ton or so of lead probably has quite a good resale value thereabouts - and if it's spent uranium... cherchez l'Iranois /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I can think of worse places to be stuck than Fortaleza, where I am told, there are eight women to one bloke and you can buy this "Surf 'n Turf" for under £8-00.

In a couple of years time, YM will be able to report that it was, "believed to have been knocked off by a container."
