Now that\'s tight!......

During my aborted trip to SoF this weekend ended up sat twiddling me thumbs and catching some sun on the boat waiting till monday eve flight back home. Princess have a dealer in La Napoule and for some reason decided to shift all the boats about. Well this young chap (read child, looked about 14) did all the driving and parking and hot poop he was too, swinging even a V70 with about a foot either end away from smashing into something very expensive. Thing was he was giving it dixie on the gas and was absolutely spot on. Had port engine decided to play I would have been too embarrased to have gone out after his mighty display of boat handling skill, or maybe I am just easily impressed!, mind you there was no more than few inches either side on this pic, so much so he had to squash the fenders between the boat either side.

Yeah but look at the flags, there's no wind, its easy when there's no wind. If he can do it in a F5 with an intermittent bowthruster fault then i'll be impressed.

even so he was doing it single handed and of course unlike uk he had to make sure he wasn't going to pick up all them for'd lines sticking out, at one point on the 70 footer he was touching the for'd lines one side of the channel with the swim platform and touching the ford lines with the anchor on the other side. If I was doing that it would be an un holy mess of mooring lines fouled every which way /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
