Cus it was only 8 degrees here on the Island and the wind chill at 30 knts near froze my ears off, still the sun was out and only 10 knts of wind so we could pretend we were in the Med.

Out again tomorrow down to the Calf Island, Chicken Lighthouse and through the Calf sound round to Port Erin. Hope to do some seal watching on the way.

Hope everyone is having fun out there this weekend.

Apart from elbow grease can you enlighten us as to what products you used to get such a good shine. Was an electric polisher used. Maybe the boat is fairly new and was not too bad before you started?

Can't remember exactly the name on the bottle, its on the boat but made by International, got it at our local chandlery. Yes did use a polisher on some of it and elbow grease on the rest.

She is new but was covered in grime from being alongside the quay wall for six weeks. The hull looked like someone had gone over it with wet and dry as the fenders had picked up grit off the wall and scuffed up the gelcoat quite rotten. Anyway she looks like new again and looks hunky dory.

My father, he has an apartmet overlooking Douglas Bay right on the edge of King Edward Road which is about 20 yrds from the slope down to the bay.

We took a whizz past whilst he gave me instructions on the mobile, left a bit, right abit, come back again, turn around, oh sorry left the lens cap on etc etc. Took some video as well which looks brill, never realised how 'throaty' the engines sound from the shore but I guess you are leaving the sound behind you as you hurtle along. Sounds the dogs doofers though.
