Called in to Burton Waters Ipswich yesterday and whilst waiting looked at Sealine 2009 price list.
the S29 was not there.....just the SC hard top version.
and confirmed as not to be produced anymore.

What is that likely to do to second hand values?

only about 50 were actually produced.

It's likely to support 2ndhand values, I would have thought, because there'll only ever be a limited number available. Certainly if Sealine had continued piling them into a depressed market at rock bottom heavily discounted new prices, that wouldn't have helped to keep prices up. All IMHO

Couple of brand new Sealine in St Kats, an SC47 and a new looking T60? But the T60 has a proper rader arch the right way around and fitted right at the back of the boat?

anyone know anything about them?

Definitely to do with the Sealine launch of the Aura T60 which is the very nice Conran interior shown last week. They were heading home on Saturday PM but guess the weather was not to everyone's liking ;-)
The SC47 ditto but not Conran.
So no F46 then? Only joking as they showed a very nice looking model of this upcoming jobbie at the launch.

I had one of the last half dozen S37's in 2002 before they brought out the S38 (they did tell me at the time incidently) and I didn't notice any step change in resale value. I don't think you will either, the S29 is an excellent boat. Of course the credit crunch brings it's own independent downward pressure on resale value.

As always beauty is in the eye of the beholder but having had the SC29 for a season it is fantastic to be able to open and close the sun roof so quickly and easily and move from being in the open air to completely protected.

Came in very handy several times last season when weather or sea conditions changed on a passage.

Both boats were mored outside the Design museum at Butlers wharf for Frdiays pr launch. I just happened to be passing on my way to EXEL on Thursday (in a roundabout way) and popped down onto the pontoon to have a nose. The Sealine delivery skipper (Richard I think) was on board and invited me on board both (in between distributor viewings). Many thanks to Richard for a really pleasant and inetersting half an hour or so.

The SC 47 is really nice but the T60 has me now sold on a flybridge of that size. I think the layout is much better than the other 60 ft flys I viewed at LIBS. Having the the galley at the cockpit entrance with a proper dining table is really sensible and having the lounge at the same level as the helm works well too. This leaves the lower deck just for accomodation. The extending transom seat is pretty cool and certainly adds space into that area.

I also really liked the central position of both helms with room to move in between the helm and navigator seat. Changing the radar arch to the reverse sweep finishes it off. I liked the Conran design, even the rich ruby suede like texture covering the for'd bulkhead in the owners suuite! Other than that bold statement, overall design was subtle, more of an understated luxury feel to it that was impressive.. IMO overall boat was better then the Manhattan 60.

Re: (Ask the folks at Sealine South Coast 0845 7325463. They seemed to be major organisers or maybe just the people who sent me an invite. )

Leaving St Kats tomorrow to return to the Hamble so speak to the boys at Sealine South Coast for more info.
