...do you think they will want all their staff back?

Even if they do, I doubt they would go. From what I understand Trevor and Paul (ex Selaine sales) are doing very well with Fairline having themselves been dumped last year.

Funny how it all comes round in the end.

Nothing in the YBW news about it. Mind you, that's not saying much I know...

Sure who want's to sell or buy boats painter with nail varnish or metallic car paint anyway - ughhh!

It's amazing how one small detail like paint can wreck the net visual result of a new design.

How the worm has turned! I have to say that both and Trevor and Paul are returning home anyway - to the old Sealine offices on the Hamble. After the traumas of 18 months ago Trevor is returning to his old office - but by the look of the renovations going on there it will be to Fairline standards.

Interesting though that the new Fairline Southampton HQ will also be doing boat servicing as well. The combined venture looks really ready to move forward which begs the question as to where Sealine will now set up. The operation at Saxon Wharf hardly bears the salubrious nature of where they used to be - not to mention the lack of quality river frontage and passing traffic now afforded to Fairline Southampton.

Don't blame Sealine though - outside influences were exerted - shall we call it "friendly fire". Now others have to come in and clean up the mess!!!!

Mind you let's not forget Solent Motor Yachts who were also rather unceremoniously stripped of their dealership on the insistence of "those across the road"

I should think that Stan Prosser is also smiling wryly to himself as well.

It just goes to show, you never know what you've got till it's gone!

I believe that Port Sealine is going to be further up the Hamble so that all those peeps going up and down the river at 6 knots boat testing their potential Fairline or Princess will have the chance to admire the Sealine offering as they go past and hopefully change their minds. I guess its like houses location, location, location! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

After my visit to ancastas Brighton office today and the way they present there brokerage boats then I dont think they will get anywhere selling sealines, there are too many outlets for these boats and too many used ones too.

They have marketed nearly all makes over the years and not held on to any of them for any real length of time compared to other dealers, I dont think they will have the infastructure to take part ex boats without underwriting them into the trade through more other affluent companies.

Was in Eastbourne today looking at the 38 that powerskipper was blurting around last week, as this is todays news why were peters bothering to promote something thats out the door in a few weeks time, they have a line up of sealines there, who owns them I dont know but there may be a bargain to be had there I think, though I wouldnt bother myself.

I wonder where Peters will go next? maybe Princess perhaps they could do with a new face thats East of the hamble for a change.

If it was such a secret, you should have sent it by PM and jez could have read it and eaten his computer to destroy the evidence. Anyway just to clear this up

Brunswick (friendly fire?) made Sealine get rid of their wholly owned sales operation at Swanwick and railroaded them into a marriage with Peters. Then Princess (those across the road) who are also owned by Brunswick complained that Sealine had given a dealership to Solent Motor Yachts who had set up in Sealine's old premises in Swanwick so they were dumped. And Stan Prosser is happy because he decided to dump Sealine for Fairline in the nick of time

Have I got it right or am I still on the wrong track?

You seem to have insider knowledge of Sealine. What's happened to Jason Hudson? I bought a couple of boats off him at Swanwick and he always seemed a nice sort of chap

Almost, but Brunswick defo DO NOT own Princess.

No, Peters Opal very pally pally with Premier Marina bods cos of Chi tie up innit. Premier Marina bods spent loads a ££££ on buying Moody's at Swanick so need some dosh back. Good ol pally pally Brian Peters says no problemo to a bit of flogging space at Swanick to expand his empire. Cos Peters Opal given the ol heave ho by Fairyline, now have Sealine but Swanick already flogged out by those SMY blokes. Peters need to flog summink other than Bavaria raggie jobs so tell Sealine to bin SMY so Peters can sell from Swanick across the way.

edit: Keyboard didn't taste so good so abandoned the computer eating instruction. Sorry.
