Still considering tender options.

Mrs Magnum says a Torqeedo powered RIb will look daft on our bathing platform so reluctantly I'm considering a 3.4-3.6m console RIB with 20-30HP outboard.

I know a few here have Novuranias so please point me in the right direction.

I agree with Mrs Magnum! For Novurania you have a couple of choices. EAMS based in SoF will have some stock ribs to choose from but a bit pricey I found and limited choice..... Otherwise import directly yourself which is what I did followed by a few others, JFM, BartW, Hurricane....Easily done from Nautical Ventures in Florida, they take care of it all, Renee McCullers is the contact.... Best rib you'll ever buy in its class imho.... P68 is a lovely boat and deserves a lovely tender.... You won't regret it, mine has done over 9000nm in 5 yrs and is as good as new.

They do a 360dl but I think a 400dl will easily fit on a P68 or even a 430dl which is the most popular forum model....

Excellent. Thank you.

Sorry MYAG
I disagree with your recommendation - see my write up in MBY
Sorry - I would NOT deal with Nautical Ventures in Florida ever again - totally unprofessional - never kept any of their promises.
They still haven't provided a spare tin of gelcoat that was paid within the price of the boat - ordered over a year ago.
There were also lots of other problems in the supply - IMO Renee McCullers being the chief culprit.
At the time that I bought, I kept this information off this forum because I was hoping to get the best out of a bad situation.

However, the Novurania 340DL is a fantastic boat and I am very pleased with it.
I just wouldn't buy one from Nautical Ventures.

Novurania themselves would be worth contacting - Howard Rogers has been very helpful.
He offered to supply the boat (with a 60HP Yamaha) directly.
I chose NV because they had one in stock and fitted a 70HP

If I were buying again (and I would buy a 430DL again), I think I would see if Novurania would provide a bare boat and have a local Yamaha dealer supply and fit the engine/wiring.
Yamahas bought in the USA don't have any European warranty - this would be a good argument to Novurania to supply a bare boat.

Things to think about - engine size - auto trim tabs - and some of us have had "Marine Deck 2000" fitted (this is a cork like teak imitation - very nice on bare feet - really worthwhile)

IMO - Try and fit the 430DL - the new P68 is a much bigger boat than the old P67
I'm in the process of altering our P67 bathing platform to take the 430DL
Here's a pic taken last week

You would need to make sure that the passerelle is clear.

And here is one taken earlier this year on the FB

I agree with everything Mike has written about purchasing a Novurania, factory direct. If you want additional info,pm me.

There must be quite inconsistent service. I bought my Novurania from Renne McCullers/Nautical Ventures and she couldn't have been more helpful. She organised the spec I needed, I paid by bank transfer, and she organised a pallet and all the shipping. It came across in its own 10 foot container, not a shared container. It turned up on a lorry at a UK address I specified (with PSP organising the VAT payment but that wont affect you Magnum). The seal to the container on the back of the lorry was only broken when we saw it in front of us and then we forklifted out the tender, all perfect and as ordered, turn key ready to go. Renee kept in good email contact throughout, sent me photos, tracking details, etc etc,. Impeccable service.

PS imho you don't need the warranty on a Yamaha. It won't break anyway. Much easier to have the engine fitted at the factory than retrofitted in UK, imho
Magnum I didn't think the novu dash was great so I had it customised - see here, in case you want to do something similar
