Permanent

1. UKHO confirmation of the cardinal mark and wreck symbol marking the sunken fishing vessel in the Swale;
2. Changes in the Mouse anchorage (its size), a revised Pilot boarding place in the Warp and the naming of the danger buoy in the Mouse channel (River Thames approaches);
3. Changes in the approaches to Wells - see iamges on the web page;
4. UKHO confirmation of the new buoy (4a) in the Walton Backwaters approach;
5. Reduced depths around Cromer;
6. Some small moves of the buoyage on the approaches to Dunkerque.

Temporary

1. Dredging this week in the Port of Wells;
2. Exclusion zone off Felixstowe for this week-ends Air show - image on the temporary pages on the web site;
3. PLA notification of the changes in the Mouse channel - really a repeat of the recent permanaent notices;
4. 4 notices from the Crouch Harbour Master which I think have been already posted - breaching of the Wallesea sea wall, reminder of the ski pontoons, Paglesham pontoon no longer available for visitors and a temporary monitoring devices in breach no 3 off Wallesea.
5. Harwich - the Fort buoy should be back in its usual position;
6. Works in Erith Reach, River Thames.

That's it, apologises for the delay caused entirely by fun.

Tch. Fun, eh?

Cruising fun. Actually if I was really honest, cruising down the channel to St Valerie has reminded me, lovely though it was there that there is nothing quite like the South-East Coast of perfidous Albion for a really good cruising area. These foreign places are nice but going south there is no such thing as a nice jaunt down the coast like we have and if the weather is a bit marginal you can't have a nice day like in the Blackwater, the Backwaters, Orwell, Stour or Deben. 10 kts SOG in the Gull Stream is all very fine but TG was never meant to pass things by at that pace.......

Blimey making the leap to light speed.....

Seen one of those. Terrifying! 7.5 tons of wood, cotton and window putty at 6.5 knots is quite enough thank you. Come to think of it, since it is really window putty and cotton that keeps the water out, doubling up on the jubilee clips is a bit overkill really! :)
