1. Couple of new Admiralty Charts coming out in February - 323 - Dover Strait Eastern Part and 2482 Swale and Medway.
2. Details of Admiralty Chart agent in Woodbridge. Not sure if they are new so I included them in case its of interest to those of you living close to the Artic Circle up there in Suffolk.
3. Bit of a foul bottom just to the west of the northern edge of the Kentish Flats Wind Farm
4. Some new reduced depths at the Long Sand Head. One of them at 1.9 is worth noting. It seems to continuing its extension north-east. Talking to the Coxn of the Walton Lifeboat last year he said 'you have chances going on the Sunk Sand but the Long Sand Head... (shakes head and tuts), that's always a call out'.
5. A strange circle of new yellow spar buoys on the Middleplaat shoal in the Westershelde. Probably something in the middle that's nasty but they don't say so.
6. New depth reduction in the deep water (sic) of the Thames in Gravesend Reach. Won't trouble yachties.
7. Lost anchor on the Thornton Bank (sort of on the way to Zeebrugge).
Temporary
1. Longish notice from the PLA regarding the starting of laying of the second cable from the swale to the London Array. Once again Fisherman's Gat will be closed when it reaches there. The third cable is expected to go in during the summer and that might be more inconvenient.
2. Update on the London Array work. Turbines are being installed next to Foulger's plus there is some wiring work adjacent to the Sub Station 1 which is on the edge of the Gat. So best avoided this week.
That's it except that tomorrow I will add a notice from the London array about the Rock Berms where the first London Array cable goes over the Kentish Flats and Britned cables. At the first which is Sw of the Kentish Flat wind farm, there is only 1.5m LAT and at the other crossing which is near the edge of the Princes Channel (but outside of the channel) there is 4m LAT. I'll finish that one in the morning.
Oh and nearly fogot. I am making progress on the back record of the extension of the service to include the other side from Boulogne to the Hook of Holland. There is one about a new yellow buoy near CA^ off Calais which is probably worth noting for those intending to go that way. To find it goto to the 'All Notices....' and select the Boulonge to Hook list.
As usual find the detail on www.crossingthethamesestuary.com/page9.html or http://www.eastcoastsailing.co.uk/
