A very quiet week this week
No UKHO notices affecting the monitored area.
Temporary Notices
Two dredging warnings in Harwich Harbour/Felixstowe. Usual routine work with dumping of spoil in the usual river or Inner Gabbard site.
Warning from Dong not to ding their cable on the grounds that it is exposed where it comes ashore between Jaywick and Clacton - I have restrained myself from making any comment regarding the high risk of cable theft there - and also it is apparently dangling (my word) where it comes off the sands by the wind farm.
That's it apart from a notice from me that next week I shall be in Scotland so notices will not be added until 6th or 7th December (if SWMBO will let me I will post anything drastic here and on the ECS web site). On return from Scotland I go to Africa for two weeks. Normal service will be resumed on Monday 23rd December. Apologies but I guess it's the best time of year to have such a pause.
As usual at this time of year I extend an invitation for suggestions for improvement to the service. It seems the earlier years stuff doesn't affect the way the site runs so I might as well leave it there although I guess it is seldom used.
