Only one this week that should NOT affect us - new depth off the Thames Haven Jetties
Temporary Notices
A slew of things this week if that be the right term.
1. Usual update on the work at the London Array Wind Farm. Foundation work near the Foulger's Gat and lots of activity in the East Swale.
2. The temporary obstruction at the edge of the Great Nore has been removed;
3. Dredging on the approaches and around the Felixstowe berths with disposal at the Inner Gabbard site;
4. Sediment placement taking place this week in the Stour and Orwell at defined sites.
5. Beach replenishment work at Felixstowe between Cobbold's Point and Felixstowe Pier. Lots of sand and gravel being pumped onto the beach via a floating pipeline;
6. Ipswich Wet Dock to be closed for lock gate repairs 5th December to 9th December with a warning that it might extend beyond those dates;
7. Dredging at the port of Ipswich from 15th November for seven days with dumping in Long Reach.
and Thames Caostguard has just come on the radio and issued a securite notice saying that Beachy Head light is not working!
