Permanent Notices this week:

1. New UKHO chart editions for part of the Thames and the detailed one for Fisherman's Gat and Princes Channel coming soon.
2. Deep obstruction in the Outer Gabbard that should not affect us.
3. Reduced depth over an obstruction and reduced soundings just to seaward of the Rochester Bridge, River Medway.
4. Deletion of the name of a bank (Kwintebank) off Belgium. Looks like its printed in the wrong place on the latest edition as it should be SW of where the deletion is.
5. Works in the Marina Basin in Calais. No detail given.
6. Exposed cable on the edge of the Wind Farm zone at the Thornton Bank off Belgium marked with a temporary danger buoy with the unusual light characteristics of Al.Oc.BuY.3s which we all know is 'Alternating Occulting Blue and Yellow' - actually it's quite usual for a temp wreck buoy of course. Last seen in our water over the wreck of the Crebe. Very pretty.

Temporary Notices

1. Ipswich Docks. A bit late by us since it gives the times for last weekends but says it will open 8.30am to 4pm daily and when on a level. Only one gate will open.
2. Obstruction on the seabed near the South Shelf buoy in Harwich Harbour.
3. Nothing again this week from the London Array Wind Farm!!

Further to the Calais notice, the only additional information on SHOM is from 2010 but still in force:

"Work is in progress (pontoons, repair of the door of the basin, dredging...) and it welcomes more currently of commercial vessels. The quay walls have an inclination of 10%; Accordingly, straight walls ships must protect by appropriate defences. South Wharf is normally assigned to the trade but tickets are often available for boaters"
