1. North Sea - Brown's Ridge, well out east of Lowestoft Unexploded Ordnance. But at 55m down unlikely to trouble us one hopes!;
2. River Thames - Northfleet Hope and Tilbury Docks and opposite. a new Precautionary Zones for ships swinging and turning; Image on web site;
3. River Thames - Bow Creek, a new bridge with 4.6m clearance;
4. English Channel, Varne Ridge: UKHO confirmation of the Trinity House notice I put up in week 37. Two new buoys, a North Cardinal 'Varne NW' and an East Cardinal 'Varne NE'. Image on web site;
5. You will like this one - Approaches to the Westerschelde, the Guel van de Walvischstaart channel. Three new virtual buoys installed. They would be starboard hand buoys I guess if they were there but they are virtual so they are not. They are V-AIS buoys. Image shows their virtual position plus they are also moved the actual, real, live port hand buoys a little so these are included in the image. I assume the virtually buoys will appear on your plotter if you have an AIS linked to it. There is an example of the Virtual Aid to Navigation symbol on the web site as well.

Temporary

1. River Thames, Robin Wharf, Northfleet Hope works to remove crane until 18th October;
2. Confirmation from the Crouch HM that the Inner Crouch is unlit, and
3. That the two broken posts on Wallesea Island have been removed;
4. No confirmation yet from Medway (Peel Ports) that the wreck in the Swale is buoyed but another forumite has reported that it is a HMCG MSI broadcast at the moment - two yellow buoys.

That is it.

Next week I will be in Nigeria so I am not sure if I will be able to post the weekly update. If not I will do a double do on Monday 27th October.
