1. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. -
Three new depths around the entrance to both the Outer Harbour of Great Yarmouth and the Yare entrance plus 6 seriously reduced depths on the west side of the South Scoby Sands. There are two earlier NtMs around the Outer Harbour; these depths are included in the first image in blue to include all this year's changes.
2. ENGLAND - East Coast - Buoyage. - The Yellow special Swallowtail buoys Nos 2 and 3 are temporary absent for maintenance. They were removed in June but Crouch HA have not yet announced their return.
3. ENGLAND - South Coast - Notes. - This notice is announcing the replacement of the note about Cross Channel Ferries and Dover. This affects 7 SNC charts: those for passing vessels are warned to pass at least 1nM from Dover breakwater, those yachts entering are warned to report to Dover VTS on Ch74 when 2 miles off; all vessels must report when 1 mile off. 4. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - Three small reductions of depth in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. Unlikely to hinder leisure craft.

1. RIVER THAMES - LOWER HOPE REACH - ALPHA JETTY DREDGING OPERATIONS -
on or about 5th September 2023, dredging operations are expected to commence in the vicinity of Alpha Jetty, Cliffe. The chartlet Shows the general location, within the red-bordered area: see the above quoted webpage in the Local List. Dredging operations will be carried out by vessel EMILIA D and will take place only in the immediately vicinity of the Alpha Jetty berth face. Should a different vessel be used, this will be notified by London VTS. These operations are expected to be complete with 3 days of commencement. Requirements to proceed with caution or at slow speed will be made in accordance with the procedures set out in the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘London VTS’, ‘Section 4’ with the International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee’. The display of these signals will be in addition to any lights or shapes required under local regulations and the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea. Further details will be broadcast as needed by London VTS on VHF channel 68.
2. RIVER THAMES - WOOLWICH REACH - THAMES REFINERY OUTER JETTY DREDGING OPERATIONS - On or about 27th September 2023, marine contractors working on behalf of Tate & Lyle will be undertaking water injection dredging operations at Thames Refinery Outer Jetty, which will take approximately one week. In order to accommodate these works, the dredger MERSEY will undertake these operations over the high water periods and whilst the tide is ebbing. The chartlet indicates the approximate footprint of the marine works. The MERSEY will display lights and signals as per the International Regulations for Prevention of Collision at Sea (27). Requirements to proceed with caution or at slow speed will be made in accordance with the procedure set out in the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘London VTS’, ‘Section 4’ with the International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee’ (RY). Further information will be broadcast by London VTS on Channel 14.
3. Lowestoft Inner Harbour – Gull Wing Bridge Construction site – Diving Operations - diving operations are scheduled to take place within the Gull Wing Bridge Construction site. Commencing Monday 21st August 2023 for approximately 3-4 weeks. Area shown is Inner harbour – Lake Lothing. (see the usual web page). Diving will be undertaken from the workboat ‘MV Talisker’ by Norfolk Marine Divers. The vessel will be displaying code flag alpha and maintaining a listening watch on VHF Ch. 14. The divers will be using callsign ‘Norfolk Marine Divers’. The diving operations will only be carried out in daylight hours. Some of the diving operations will be taking place within the main navigational channel. During this time there will be some temporary restrictions to marine traffic. Prior to transiting through the Gull Wing construction site vessels are instructed to call ‘Lowestoft Port Control’ on VHF channel 14 who will advise if it is safe to transit. If in any doubt vessels should make contact with ‘Norfolk Marine Diver’ on VHF ch 14. At all times, when transiting this area or manoeuvring close by, vessels are instructed to keep speed / wash to a minimum. A notice to mariners will be promulgated when diving operations are complete. Please contact Lowestoft Port Control, VHF Ch14, Tel. 01502 572286 (Option 3) if further information is required.
4. Approaches to Wisbech - Wisbech Anchorage,”W2” lightbuoy re-established - Mariners are advised that W2 light buoy (52° 54’.942N 000°16’.003E) has been re-established on station.
