1. New Editions of ADMIRALTY Small Craft Charts to be published on 18th September, 2025.
SC chart 5606.6 Whitaker Channel to West Swin. 1:50,000
SC chart 5607.3 Outer Approaches to the River Blackwater. 1:50,000
SC chart 5607.4 Southern Approaches to Harwich. 1:50,000
SC chart 5607.5 Harwich to Orford Ness. 1:50,000
2. ENGLAND - East Coast - Submarine power cables. Legends. - This is a long NtM amending SN and SC charts correcting the exact positions of parts of the BritNed power cable. Two areas are amended, one on the eastern ‘tail’ of the Nore Sand, the other north of the Red Sand Towers. In those locations, unlikely to hinder leisure craft.
3. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. Wreck. Obstruction. - Four reductions of depth and an ‘Obstn’ redefined as a wreck south-east of the S. Shipwash south cardinal buoy. None likely to hinder leisure craft.
4. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - Three reductions of depth in Sea Reach adjacent to the West Blyth and north of the Cliff Fleet PHBs. Unlikely to hinder leisure craft.
5. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - Two significant reductions of depth on the west side of the Scroby Sands in Yarmouth Road.
Local
1. Burnham Week 2025 will take place between Saturday 23rd August 2025 ~ Saturday 30th August 2025 - A higher density of sailing and rowing craft are to be expected on the river during this period. Organisers of the Rowing Craft have been requested to keep the courses outside the main Fairway and NOT use Fairway Buoys as Racing marks. Mariners are requested to be additionally vigilant and keep a good look out at all times.
River Crouch, Firework Display – Saturday 30th August 2025.
The culmination of 2025 Burnham Week will be marked by a firework display on the evening of Saturday 30th August 2025 at approximately 21:00 hours with an expected duration of around fifteen minutes. The pyrotechnics will be discharged from a floating pontoon moored fore and aft centered on an approximate position of: 51° 37.363N. 000° 49.025E. (opposite the Burnham Quayside, CHA Harbour Office). It may be necessary to alter this location on the day depending on weather conditions. There will be an exclusion zone in place centered on the position/pontoon of 200 metres.
This will come into force at 20:50 ten minutes prior to commencement of display until its conclusion. Mariners are to remain outside the exclusion zone. A safety boat will be in attendance throughout the display.
2. River Crouch - Pinto Lighted Buoy - the Pinto Lighted Buoy in approximate position: 51°37.081 N. 000°52.609 E. is now operational.
3. Removal of Fire Damaged Turbine at Scroby Sands OWF - RWE Renewables UK Wind Ltd at Scroby Sands would like to inform mariners that essential removal works are planned for Turbine T06 that involves using a jack up vessel to remove damaged turbine components. This work is due commence from 30th August 2025 within the Scroby Sands OWF Area, depending on weather. The current outline planning is as follows:
Start Date: Subject to weather 03rd August 2025 (expected end of September 30th)
Safety Zone - The operations will employ a legally enforceable safety zone (500m)

Jack up Barge - The WaveWalker 1 will be used as a heavy lift vessel to conduct the works on T06 - Call Sign: PBVH, MMSI: 244780105, Contact: VHF Ch16
Support/Guard Vessels - CRC Voyager & CRC Walrus will be situated in and around the windfarm to support the operations and provide guidance to other mariners of the restricted zone.
