1. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. -
Two new soundings, one reduced, one slightly increased on the south bank of the River Thames just east of the QEII bridge. Unlikely to hinder leisure craft.
2. ENGLAND - South East Coast - Less water. - Less water reported by the RNLI just north of Cross Ledge on the approaches to the Kentish River Stour.
3. ENGLAND - East Coast - Light. Legend. - Emendation to the lights on the baffle wall off the closed Nuclear Power Station. One red light on the wall and a lit red buoy just upstream of the wall.
4. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - Continual monitoring of the DW channel from the Sunk into the Black Deep. Three new soundings on the DW line. None likely to hinder leisure craft but don’t linger!
5. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - Further reductions of depth on the Winterton Overfalls: three reductions, all over 13m. There have been two previous NstM this year (Nos 1974 and 2404) so I have show the latter in blue and this notice in magenta on the image.
6. BELGIUM - Lights. Beacons. Depths. Buoy. - A very eclectic NtM involving 4 reductions of depth in three different areas of the Flemish coast, one new north cardinal beacon outside Blankenberge and changes in Blankenberge. The reductions of depth are one on the Oosthinder bank in the middle of the Noord Hinder TSS, two off the approaches to Zeebrugge and one close to the Oostendebank East SHB. All are unlikely to hinder leisure craft. One new lit north cardinal beacon marking the approaches to Blankenberge (which is close by a yellow special buoy that was introduced earlier this year – included in the image) In Blankenberge, in the channel they have two new red, white and red beacons (lit as before) and in the marina two lights are removed and substituted with two beacons.
7. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - A total of 5 reductions of depth on and around the Gunfleet Sands and on the east side of the Long Sand. 3 are on the north tail of the Gunfleet Sands, one in the Wallet (twixt Nos 2 and 4) and one reduction of depth on the east side of the Long Sand. Two images: the Gunfleet and Wallet image includes an obstruction and a wreck vide NtMs 2019 and 2559. The Long Sand image has a ‘host’ of reductions of depth added vide NtMs 1880 and 2796. Later this year or early next year we can expect a new edition of Chart 1975.
8. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - Three reductions of depth, two north of the South Cross Sand and one at the Corton Sand. This area has had a lot of attention this year so both images includes all the earlier reductions of depth.
Local
1. RIVER THAMES - in the Oaze - Unexploded Ordnance -
unexploded ordnance (UXO) has been discovered in the following position: - Latitude 51˚ 28’.80 N, Longitude 000˚ 55’.11 E. In the interests of safety, vessels are advised to keep at least 100m clear of the above position at all times. Vessels are particularly cautioned against anchoring, trawling or otherwise interacting with the seabed in the vicinity of the above position. The chartlet below shows the general area, with the recommended 100m safety radius around the UXO position shown by the red circle: - Notices to Mariners for images - Further information will be broadcast, as necessary, by London VTS on VHF channel 69.
2. Harwich Haven - Temporary Deployment of Scientific Instruments – Update 2 - The scientific equipment (ADCP) and special mark buoys previously deployed at Site 2 NE of Wadgate Ledge have now been recovered and are no longer in situ.
3. Surveying River Orwell. - from: - Wednesday 17th- Thursday 18th July 2024. The vessel “UKD Resolution” will be conducting hydrographic surveying operations in the River Orwell. This includes Berth boxes and Ipswich wet dock. Mariners are advised to pass this vessel slowly and cautiously. A listening watch on VHF Channel 68 will be maintained at all times. Please contact ONS (Orwell Navigation Services) for more up to date information as to current areas of operation if required.
4. Lowestoft Southern Approaches – Confirmed Report of Drifting Fishing Gear - Mariners and port users are advised that a sighting of drifting fishing gear – nets/lines and 4 x floats, has been confirmed in the vicinity of the Newcombe Sand Buoy, at the Southern entrance to the Stanford Channel. Last confirmed sighting of the fishing gear was at 1700hrs, in approx. position 52˚ 26.2’N, 01˚ 47.5’N. The nets are weighted but are not anchored in position, so will drift with sea/wind/tidal influence. The fishing gear represents a navigational hazard to vessels transiting this area. Mariners are requested to navigate with caution in this vicinity, and to maintain a good lookout. Please report any sightings of the gear to Lowestoft Port Control on VHF Ch14. Fishermen with gear in this vicinity are requested to check that their nets/lines are accounted for, and to report to Lowestoft Port Control if the gear is believed to be theirs, or to report if it has been recovered. Please contact Lowestoft Port Control, VHF Ch14, Tel. 01502 572286 (Option 3) if further information is required. Image of chartlet available.
5. Crouch Northerly Cardinal Lighted Buoy - NAVIGATION - the Crouch Northerly Cardinal Lighted Buoy in approximate position. 51°37.660 N 00°56.591 E is currently unlit.

That's it. I haven't managed to finish uploading the NtMs to my website just yet - working on it.

It is now working.
