Permanent

Bit odd this week. There is only one notice affecting our area but that is a notices showing 7 reduced depths or dryinbg heights on the approaches to Great Yarmouth. However, the lat/long in the notice for 4 of those new drying heights places them in the Anglia Gas Fields in 20 to 30 metres of water. So clearly an error. I am guessing a simple transposition of 52.36 has taken place. But I have queried the notice with the UKHO (that will please them) and shall not include any of it until a reply. In the meantime 'stick to the main channels'.

Temporary

1. Notice from the PLA really intended for ships warning of the dangers of their wash to the public on the beaches at Canvey Island and reminding them of the Bye-Law requirements. Mobo's beware?
2. Work on the Kingsferry Bridge in July and 4 dates for closure. I guess they mean 'non-opening'.
3. National Squib Championships at Great Yarmouth 6th to 11th July (nearly over then!).
4. Channel lights on the Bascule Bridge at Great Yarmouth still not working. Get verbal clearance from Port Control before proceeding.

That's it. I'll advise on the Permanent notice once I hear something.
