UKHO Permanent/Temporary/Preliminary Notices
1. New Editions of ADMIRALTY Charts to be published 13 July 2023:
SNC 1975 England - East Coast, Thames Estuary, Northern Part. 1:50,000 - Includes changes to depths from the latest Port of London Authority and Trinity House surveys.
2. ENGLAND - East Coast - Fog signal. - The Fog signal for the North Well Safe Water Buoy centrally in the Wash has been changed from Whistle to Bell.
3. NETHERLANDS - Buoy. - The temporary north cardinal buoy installed outside of the Wielingen channel (coastside) leading to Vlissengen vide NtM 1606(T) in week 19 has been moved the buoy 1.3nm approx. east.
4. ENGLAND - South Coast - Buoy. - One of the yellow special buoys marking the recreation area in Dover harbour has been withdrawn.
5. ENGLAND - East Coast - Drying heights. Wreck. - This notice is including two new drying heights and a deletion of a wreck that were reported in NtM 1798 in Week 22. These new drying heights are both on the Long Sand and are included to update two UKHO small craft charts. I am repeating what I said in week 22: “Three new drying areas around the Black Deep: one on Long Sand at the edge of the Black Deep No 6 port hand buoy, a second, a drying area, on the Long Sand near the Black Deep No 4 close to the old Beacon, the third, again on the Long Sand where a wreck was once marked at 3.2m. On the Little Sunk a depth is reduced to 0.9m which formerly was marked close by as 1.8m. That does not affect the Little Sunk ‘crossing’ but suggests it is worth a re-survey which we will do at the second opportunity.”
6. ENGLAND - East Coast - Obstructions. Depth. - A small change of depth over an ‘Obstn’ and a similarly small reduction of depth close by in the Yantlet Channel off Shoeburyness. Unlikely to hinder leisure craft.

Local:
1. THAMES ESTUARY - KNOCK JOHN SECONDARY CHANNEL -
new secondary channels have been established to the North and South of the Knock John Channel. In accordance with Admiralty Chart Correction 1830(P)/23 this channel should now be shown on all Admiralty and PLA chart products. The minimum depth within the new secondary channels is 9 metres and vessels which can safely navigate outside of the main Knock John Channel are encouraged to utilise this route, to deconflict from traffic using the main Knock John Channel. It should be noted that the provisions of General Direction 17 (Navigational Restrictions and Exclusions) still apply to traffic navigating in the secondary channel. This issue was raised by a UKHO NtM in Week 22. I suggest you see the chartlet on the usual web page: Notices to Mariners
2. River Crouch
- Horse Shoal Lighted Buoy - NAVIGATION - the Horse Shoal Lighted Buoy in approximate position: 51° 37.092N, 000° 51.504E is now lit.
Burnham Fairway Buoys No 3 and No 5 - NAVIGATION - the Burnham Fairway Buoys in approximate positions: Burnham Fairway No 3 51° 37.176N, 000° 50.014E: Burnham Fairway No 5 51° 37.187N, 000° 49.667E are back on station.
3. London Array Wind Farm - Jack Up Operations (Ziton Wind Pioneer) - the Jack-up Vessel Wind Pioneer provided by Ziton and will be on site approximately from 23/06/2023 to carry out Wind Turbine generators exchanges at B10 and E02. The estimated time of work is 10 days so weather dependant the completion date will be the 03/07/2023. Jack-up Vessel: Wind Pioneer Jack-Up Vessel Wind Pioneer has a length of 57m, breadth of 28m with a draft of 5.2m
Equipment will be periodically deployed and suspended from the vessel crane during jack up operations.
A 500m radius restricted zone will be in place, centred on the Wind Pioneer whilst pinned on location.
If access is required to this zone for non-project vessel traffic, authorisation must be requested from the vessel master.

The Turbines B10 is on side of the 'avenue' leading to Foulger's Gat and therefore needs careful consideration.

That's it.
