1. New Editions of ADMIRALTY Small Craft Charts to be published 22 June 2023:
SCC 5614.10 A The Wash, Eastern Part. 1:37,500, B Continuation of Lynn Cut. 1:37,500, C King's Lynn. 1:10,000: SCC 5614.11 A The Wash, Central Part. 1:37,500, B Continuation of the River Nene. 1:50,000, C Continuation of the River Nene to Wisbech. 1:50,000: SCC 5614.12 A The Wash, Western Part. 1:37,500, B Approaches to Boston. 1:20,000, C Boston. 1:10,000 - Includes full updates for New Edition and Notices to Mariners affecting source charts.
2. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. Drying height. - Twenty-two reductions of depth in and around the approaches to Great Yarmouth and in the Outer Harbour. Only critical depth for leisure craft is within the Outer Harbour. Two images on the usual page: Notices to Mariners
3. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. -
Three reduction of depth in the Holm channel (southern approach to Great Yarmouth) between the SW Scroby and Mid Corton starboard hand buoys. Unlikely to hinder leisure craft.
4. ENGLAND - East Coast - Wreck. - One dangerous wreck reported in the River Medway close to the large mooring buoy east of Rochester Bridge. This was reported by Peel Ports back in week 11 expecting for the wreck to be lifted shortly. Perhaps it is taking longer than anticipated.
5. ENGLAND - East Coast - Buoy. Legend. - This Notice is confirmation of the notice by Trinity House NtM No 13 of 2023 and updating UKHO charts for the move of the Woodbridge Haven Safe Water buoy. The position is as announced by East Coast Pilot using their download earlier this year. The download button on the above quoted webpage will take you to the ECP download.

1. BLACK DEEP - THAMES ESTUARY - NEUCONNECT GEOPHYSICAL SURVEY WORKS -
On or about 26th May, the survey vessel SCOTIA will undertake a geophysical survey of the route for installation of the NeuConnect Interconnector, using subsurface towed sonar equipment, which will be deployed up to 100m behind the vessel. Survey operations in this area are expected to last up to 4 days. Survey operations will take place in the Black Deep channel and approaches, within the area defined in red on the chartlet (see the Local List in the above quoted webpage) and the vessel will operate in both a NNE and SSW direction within the survey box.
2. HARWICH HARBOUR - Dredging Operations - Jean T - on or about 30 May 2023 the tug boat Jean T (IMO: 9067441) will commence plough dredging operations in the Harwich Haven for a period of approximately 5-7 days at the following locations:
• Fishermen’s moorings
• Halfpenny Pier
• Shotley channel
• Harbour Masters’ Jetty
Detailed dredger movements can be obtained from Harwich VTS on VHF Channel 71.
3. IPSWICH - Restricted Lock Times - bit late this - from Friday 26th May to Tuesday 30th May there are restricted lock times. Commencing Friday 26th at 0800 there will be 1x Lock Out on the even hour and 1x Lock In on the odd hour.
If water levels are very low there is the possibility of no locks 1 hour either side of Low Water. If there is a large surge the restrictions could be lifted earlier. Please contact ONS (Orwell Navigation Services) for more up to date information.
4. Approaches to King’s Lynn. - UKD “Cherry Sand” Dredging Disposal West Stones Disposal site HU143. - from the PM tide 1st June 2023 through until the PM Tide 10th June 2023, UKD Vessel “Cherry Sand” will be carrying out maintenance dredging for the safety of shipping within the enclosed Docks King’s Lynn. Each operational tide the “Cherry Sand” will depart King’s Lynn Docks 1 hour to High water and proceed to the disposal area in the vicinity of the West Stones Beacon (52° 49.7’N 000° 21.1’E). The disposal area is marked by 2 Yellow marker buoys;- • SGNW buoy Fl.Y.5s 52°50.615’N 000°21.135’E. Discharge will be carried out at approximately High Water followed by return to King’s Lynn Docks about 30 minutes after high water. Mariners are requested to keep clear when the vessel is arriving and departing the Docks and on the disposal area as the vessel will be restricted in its ability to manoeuvre, and to navigate with caution whilst these works are taking place. The “Cherry Sand” will monitor VHF channel 14.
