UKHO Permanent/Temporary/Preliminary Notices
1. New Editions of ADMIRALTY Small Craft Charts to be published on 20th April, 2023:
SCC 5606.6 Whitaker Channel to West Swin. 1:50,000
SCC 5607.3 Outer Approaches to the River Blackwater. 1:50,000
SCC 5607.4 Southern Approaches to Harwich. 1:50,000
SCC 5607.5 Harwich to Orford Ness. 1:50,000
2. ENGLAND - East Coast - Buoyage. - Changes to buoyage have taken place within Harwich Deep Water Channel to allow for channel dredging. - This was notified in the Local List recently : The UKHO has copied a recent Harwich Haven Authority notice about temporary moves affecting buoys in the Harwich Deep Water Channel. This affects 5 buoys at the Sunk end of the Channel.

1. Harwich Harbour - Seasonal Recreational Marks - On or before the 01 April 2023 the following seasonal recreational marks will be reinstated:

Cork Ledge Racing Mark
Armada Racing Mark
Fox’s
Cobbolds Point Buoy
Dovercourt Bay
Shotley Horse
Speed Limit Marker Buoy
Beacon Hill

2. Black Edge No 1 Lighted Buoy – River Roach - NAVIGATION - Black Edge No 1 Lighted Buoy in approximate position: 51° 35.230N, 000° 48.190E is now lit.
3. PORT OF GREAT YARMOUTH - UXO Clearance Works - from 29/03/23 until 04/04/23 there will be UXO clearance works taking place between berth 01C and Brush Bend at the location shown below. There will be dive teams deployed so vessels should pass the area at slowest safe speed keeping to the Western side of the river. There is an image showing the location in the above quoted web page (Local List).
4. PORT OF GREAT YARMOUTH -Temporary River Closure - notification of the second temporary closure of the river Yare, as part of the Great Yarmouth Third River Crossing.
• Closure Date: 18th April 2023
• Time: 08.00
• Duration: 72 hours
• Location: Area shown by red line boundary in image in the Local List.
5. News 30 minutes ago: Havengore Bridge: Operational:
I am pleased to inform you that repairs to the road safety barrier have been completed and Havengore Bridge is operational and open to marine traffic in accordance with the MOD byelaws.
