I have just had a look at Navionics and there is a line of such buoys off Dovercourt beach, I suppose marking an area that is safe for swimmers? There are only 5 on the chart, but perhaps they have added another one?

Now if you had an Imray chart...........

'Recreation Area for powered craft'

I am afraid I have a very, very low opinion of Navionics. Imray says 6 Apr-Oct buoys; the notice says 6 buoys. As I said I have a very, very low opinion of Navionics. When I did a check in an area that I know very well I found 4 major errors in Navionics repect of buoys that had been there for years. They have corrected the error. Might be a great 'App' but accuracy is more important in my opinion.
