Notice to Mariners Weeks 6 and 7

Very quiet in the last two weeks:

Permanent

1. New edition of chart 106 ( East Coast, Cromer to Smiths Knoll) to be published on 18th February.
2. Small reduction of depth (but still 8.8m) close adjacent to the Hemsby PHB at the North Scroby Sands.

Temporary

1. HARWICH HARBOUR - MAINTENANCE DREDGING – FELIXSTOWE BERTHS AND APPROACHES until approx 12th Feb;
2. Isle Of Grain River Works - maintenance work will be undertaken on Cockleshell Jetty and Isle Of Grain Outfall structure from the 15th to the 20th of February 2016;
3. Consultation Document on Proposed Seaplane Operations within the *Port Authority Area of the Port of Sheerness Ltd. I have attached the consultation document which shows the proposal at Half Acre Creek and the Medway.
4. Oyster Nursery farm - Devils Reach, River Roach 4 steel piles to mark with lights;
5. Burnham Town Pontoon, River Crouch - repaired and in full commision;
6. Brightlingsea Harbour Exercise - Marine Pollution Response - Exercise Cindery - tomorrow (Tuesday 9th February).

A couple of temporary notices to add:

Blackwater - Northey Island, bank works engaged to September (opposite and out of the way from the Heybridge lock);
The Broads - Mutford lock under repairs - closed 15th to 21st February;
The Broads - Beccles Old Bridge under repairs - on 2nd March, delays for navigation;
The Broads - Hickling Broad under dredging until 26th February, delays for navigation.
