Two UKHO notices this week.

1. Following Week 26's notice of 'Less water Reported' at the Whitaker Spit, the legend is deleted and replaced with 4 reduced depths off the eastern tail of Swallowtail and the Whitaker Spit. It looks like the tendency is for both the Swallowtail and Whitker Spit to extend towards the east but it isn't yet critical to leisure craft. No buoyage moved this time.
2. 8 reduced depths of the centre of the Shipwash - all contained within the environs of the West and East Cardinal buoys. Three other reduced depths around the Sunk but all 'shipping' sorts of depths.

Temporary

Ho Humm a few:

1. Trinity House advising that the Longsand Head Lighted Buoy has a wave activated whistle replaced with its wave activated bell;
2. Revised list of Medway Events;
3. Notification of the demolition of the Grain Power Station chimney on the 7th September at around 11am. Wonder if the bang will send some debris over to the SS Montgomery........
4. No 1 Jetty at BP Isle of Grain. Works until about 12th September;
5. Gillingham Pier – Demolition and Construction Works commence on or about 30th August 2016 to demolish the old Gillingham pier head structure, remove fallen piles in the old marina and insert new piles along with a new pontoon;
6. River Crouch - Installation of Turncole Wind Farm - all works finish and removed;
7. Great Yarmouth - Flood Wall Repair Works – Berths 24 A&B - the Environment Agency will be undertaking Flood Wall repairs on Berth 24 A&B between Port Marks 12 & 17 until mid-September;
8. Port of Wells - dredging, more dredging;
9. Port of Kings Lynn - update of new chartlet of the Lynn approaches. See the usual page for the link: http://www.crossingthethamesestuary.com/page9.html
