Notice anything?

A lot better after our tuition. Feel happier knowing why the boat is doing what it's doing and judging the elements on approach. Wind blowing us on the berth is pretty much nailed but we've found it's much more challenging when it's NW winds and blowing us off. If the better half can get the stern warp on the far cleat as you showed us I can control the bow but a couple of times the attempted lasso hasn't looped the far cleat properly and we've been caught short. Most importantly neither of us panic now which makes it less stressful!

We'll be in touch again in the NY!

I told you it would be diffrent if you had that wind direction, but it's not that often. the great thing is you don't go into "oh ****" mode. That is the key to everything.

The lasso is about making sure you get the rope coiled correctly, if it does not loop right you will either miss or the rope will bounce over the cleat

Have good Christmas and see you both in 2012!
