We didnt quite make it to Whitby last week. The weather wasnt to be so after a couple of days stuck in Grimsby we made a break for it and set off for Wells instead. Not a bad consolation prize.

This has been posted elsewhere on the forums so instead of copying the whole thing again here is a link to the photographic record of our Jubilee trip.

All being well and if the weather plays fair we should be there on the 8th July.

The current plan (which of course all depends on the weather) is to have 4 nights in Wells and then head back across the Wash spending a night at Fosdyke before heading back into Boston and up the Witham to Lincoln.

If we get a nice weekend, we'd like another trip to Wells. If it's nice that weekend, we'll possibly see you there.
 
I know what you mean. We are working on a Plan B for if the weather doesnt play ball.

So far Plan B is looking like a couple of days on the Black Sluice Drain followed by a quick nip onto the Wash and into Fosdyke for a night or so before running back for the shelter of the Witham.

We have yet to visit either the Black Sluice or Fosdyke so it will be a pleasant week away whether we get to Wells or end up cruising locally.
 
Some really great photos here - looks like some good contenders for next year's photo competion (I hope it becomes a regular feature) or the calendar. I particularly like the one of the dinghys in the mud.

The dinghies shot was more luck than judgement. I was being hurried along and told off for taking photographs of anything and everything :)

We folllowed Dev through the minefield, sorry lobster pots at Cromer last time. Theory was that if he had made it through at 25 knots we would also make it through at 25 knots if we stuck right behind him :D.
