..but the sun actually shone and RCC managed to assemble a dozen boats to greet the Mayor of Maidstone and a local MP on a swan counting expedition organised by Hampstead and Yalding Cruising Club.

Meeting was at the Hawkstone an ancient boundary between Rochester and Maidstone.
Couple of smaller RCC boats able to squeeze under East Farleigh Bridge went back up river to a buffet held in the marina at Bow bridge Watering bury.
