Is it the weather this year or the economy.Iv'e been trying to sell our boat for months now, with very few viewings or interest.A friend who works for a brokerage reckons it's the worst year for ages..i blame the weather. Good time to buy though (if i sold mine first)

No photos on either of Dickies' Atlantas on ybw... which might be part of the reason. When I was looking, I used ybw to search and glossed over any boats without photos.

Is it Dickies' policy not to put pics on the web, or have I found the only 2 Dickies boats without pics, (different offices).

If it's a nice boat with lots of goodies, pics tell a better story than a long list of stuff.

What are Dickies saying? Both about the pics, and about the market?

Nothing to do with selling, but how did you flue your Rinnai water heater, and where is it fitted?

Cheers

Richard

How on earth did you know it is with Dickies? It is but amazed you guessed. Just search Colvic...it is there & with pictures.(Swansea office)
Ref the Rinnai, it is flued into the cabin but right next to the window so rule is window open and we only use it for washing up etc. The instructions were clear about the volume of boat reqd. without a flu which was fine. Why?

I searched ybw boats for sale, which I would guess more people would do than would go straight to Dickies site. So there are no pics on ybw, but yours had to be the one in Cardiff called Bonny Mary.

I bought a Rinnai for Rogue and screwed it under the companionway steps, but nobody has come up with a way to flue it, and most have said it shouldnt be used without a flue.

Personally, I would have no problem with only using it if the companionway was open... and it is supposed to have a low oxygen sensor which cuts off the gas.

there's also an issue with piping the gas, so the project fell by the wayside and, so far, there has always been enough water in the calorifier for 2 showers, since we moved to sunnier climes.

had a look at Dickies site and there she is.

I would want photos on ybw, and more photos of the good stuff on the boat .... instruments, engine, bedroom, kitchen, invertor, lounge, and so on. It shouldnt be any effort, and would make the whole online viewing experience more interesting.

There's one sold which was asking £32,500, so somebody is buying.

Cheers

Hi Andy

I'd agree about the number of photos. The inventory looks good and the boat looks nice from the bow but a couple more photos of the deck / aft end of the boat would be nice. Then down below quite a few more photos of the cabins, engine etc.

I know sometimes less is more, especially with house buying to entice people in but I think with a boat and the number of yards around I wouldnt travel to go and look at a boat unless I thought there was a chance I'd want to buy it.

Good luck!

Richard
