Got some pictures of the boats which actually bothered to go on the practice.
Wonder if the One Show might be interested in the story of the boats which did not make it.


Just popped a message off to THE ONE SHOW ...if a few more do it we may just get a say ?

The One Show quite often shows a few pics from viewers about particular topics but pretty shallow stuff really - here's a lovely sunset from Nicola in Slogh type of stuff.

Doubt there'll be any substantial news story focus but you never know.

We will, of course, all be aware of who was accepted when we see them all on the TV on the day ! Also be able to see how well they perform ! :D

Don't know if he's actually acquired his 'blue' status yet.

Knowing Fred as I do I don't think he does 'bitter'. However I do know he is disappointed, as indeed I would be if I had made all that effort to participate in the rehearsal (not to mention the cost incurred) and been turned down without knowing why.

With the number of trips he's done up and down from the Medway he certainly can't be classed as not up to it !

You are surely not suggesting that anyone contacting the British Broadcasting Corperation would be threatened with withdrawal of their invite by any chance ?
Wonder how the BBC would view this :)

You're just another very infrequent visitor/poster who comes across as very insincere and with hidden motives.

This forum is packed with helpful, co-operative, supportive river users. You just come across as a [removed]...I may have mis-interpreted the tone of your post :D

Boatone didnt enter into the event , he didnt go to the rehearsal and has nothing to do with it .

If you are referring to me, Mario, you seem to have your wires crossed. I did not apply so did not expect to be invited and I consider your attack on me quite unreasonable.

Also, re The One Show, they requested pictures of boats that had applied - no mention was made of boats that had been accepted.

I'm still chuckling at his pathetic attempts to belittle people and their grammar, yet still manage to fail at using the forum 'quote' feature, and spells 'Boatone' with a small 'b' not to mention used the word 'your' instead of 'you're'
