...this short clip might be worth a look for those interested in how cruising looks like around Capo Teulada, the most southern part of Sardinia. In the whole area, navigation and anchorage are strictly forbidden most of the time, because it's regularly used for NATO excercises. But right now it's accessible, so we just spent there a few days.
Perfect weather, little or no wind, water at 28 degrees and as clean as the cleanest crystal. I actually can't remember to have had a better u/w visibility anywhere else - and I'm including in the comparison some diving spots acclaimed as "world's best"...
Just to give a better idea, below there's a pic (and its detail) which is also embedded in the previously linked clip. The fishes were at least at 8 or 9 feet from the camera. For those unfamiliar with u/w pics, normally the subject has to be within a 2 or 3 feet range (or even less!) to take a decent pic...
Oh, and no mobile coverage at all, except that climbing the mast on a friend boat (yup, a raggie. Guilty as charged, your honour
) and scanning the operators, we found "Nedjma" at times. It's an Algerian operator, as I just understood...
