Hi All,

Our 10yr old washing machine is very, very loud. It also leaks. New one on order from John Lewis. When we got the old one we commented on how quite it was. However in the intervening years it has got very loud.

So.... I was told today;

"When we get the new washing machine we should not wash ropes in it ..."

What should my response be? Apparently I might have to do ropes in the marina washroom washing machines?

Put them in a tub with a mixture of patio magic. Then empty the tub on the patio.
Hang them up to dry. Result clean "ropes" and clean patio:)

When "we" bought a new washing machine, or any other appliance for that matter. I always paid for it !

If any of them went wrong I paid for the repairs

therefore when it came to washing ropes it was my call.

The only things that ever broke any of the machine was a escaped sock, and an escaped nappy liner

I've already spend half of today disentangling a mess of sheets and lazyjacks that someone put in our washing machine this morning. So far as I know, the machine is still in working order.

+1, unless she paid for the new machine. Then just wait until she's gone out as said earlier.
