Looking for a quick idiot guide to reaching the Ship Inn at Noss Mayo by sea. Tidal window, where to moor etc. Done it once with a friend but now want to do it in my RIB out of Salcombe.

TIA.

About 2 hours either side of HW to moor outside the pub, or tie up to the railings by the pontoon and then walk there.

unless the tides are perfect I find the window too small for lunch and we usually moor on the visitors pontoon and tender to steps by the railings and walk from there . We have dried out at the pub and had to drag the tender through the mud with two dogs and would advise avoiding that if possible. I did see a rib full of marines moor on the slipway outside the other pub in Noss and walk round to the ship which probably adds half an hour to your window.

Ah the idiot guide!
It might be too late for advice now but I was there in a summer rental for a week opposite two years ago and we used to walk over to it each day !!
I would be very careful indeed else you'll be the idiot.
I'd probably try and do an hour either side of HW just to make sure.
Its a long bit of rocky/shingle sea bed

Beautiful place though. Or just stay there for 12 hours !!

The real idiots guide should be for the car drivers that ignore the warning signs and park on the beach at low tide, then come out of the pub to find their cars up to the hubs in seawater.

We've seen some priceless rescue attempts over the years.
