Norwegian RYA?!?

I was wondering if anyone knows a website address or contact details of the Norwegian equivalent to the RYA?

The reason I ask is my boat was originally raced on the Norwegian Fjords and then brought over here and sold at some point in the 80s or ealy 90s. I have a sail number (which I believe to be Norwegian) and I just wanted to see if they had any more info about the boat..

Google searches havent come up with anything as I'm not sure what their association might be called!

I have now found (thanks to google) the Norwegian sailing federation.. I will email them as their website is only in Norwegian and sadly my norwegian is not that great..

The Norwegian RYA is called Norges Seilforbund, www.seiling.no . If they cannot help may be You know in which part of Norway Your boat was raced? A local yacht club might have information..

Hi Richard,

I would also suggest the clubs. In my case, I lucked out and found a previous owner's name and address on a small plate under the floorboards. There is a sticker with initials on the mast that's from the a sailing club it once belonged to, but I haven't really dug in to look for that club yet.
