For those interested in Norway the Norwegian Cruising Guide (2nd edition) was the bible and has been out of print for the past few years.

Just like buses, you wait for ages then two come along. The NCG 3rd edition has just been published as an ebook and it is available at this web site . I've had a quick look and it has more info than the original and inlcudes for the first time names and addresses of places to leave and repair boats.

The new kid on the block is the RCC Norway pilot by Judy Lomax who knows the place well. I beleive that this avaible from 1st Feb on.

Now none of you have an excuse to not visit some of the best cruising grounds in the world /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I've no commercial interest in either publication.

Thing about those parts that where one anchor won't hold, no anchor will hold, cause the bottom is smooth rock. Add that to the fact that it's usually 30 metres deep your best choice is to tie to up an island.
