For the South of Norway there extremely desriptive guides called Havneguiden....
Havneguiden 1 Svinesund-Langesund
Havneguiden 2 Langesund-Lindesnes
Havneguiden 3 Lindesnes-Bergen

They are in Norweigen and not available in English, but the photos, charts and symbols are self-explanatory..

Have a wander round this site. I had an eBook version in about 2008 but found it difficult to move from PC to PC, probably my fault but as I wasnt planning to go again I didnt follow up.

Don't go to/from Aberdeen, its a busy commercial and oil industry port. Peterhead has a pleasant marina and gives the shortest crossing from the uk mainland of about 250 miles to Egersund. (or go up to Shetland and cross to Bergen at about 190 miles). Get passport stamped in/out at Egersund Police station.

Trip from Egersund around to Denmark is no problem, we did it last year crossing from near Christiansand to Skagen and back Skagen to Mandal. Just use large scale charts, norwegian harbour guides are also useful but lots of natural harbours/anchorages on the norwegian coast that can be identified on the charts. Free harbour guide available for Denmark from yacht harbours - published each year. Danish yacht harbours are usually very shallow and all are very crowded July to mid August - you often need to arive before mid day to get a berth. If winds over 20 knots forecast very few people will leave so not much chance of a place then. Usually have to buy a parking ticket at a machine and display it on the boat. Skagen and a few other places require a stern anchor and bows to pier, but stern lines to wood posts more usual.
