for those who get the HF transmissions from Northwood, they've completely changed the transmission times ... after many years

The new schedule is <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.franksingleton.clara.net/radiofaxgyasked.html>here</A>

the schedule changed at the end of June, I think ...

I do hope that if the Navy are interested enough to take this trouble that, perhaps, might mean they're going to keep the transmissions going?

more likely to be a sign that they are going to discontinue ! You always knew when a shore establishment was going to be closed, because it was the one that they had just spent a lot of money bringing it up to acceptable standard!

Thanks!

Passed you in Cherbourg I think Sat 4th? We saw Passing Trade come in on the end of pontoon P but not to talk to, no signs of life when I walked up later and we left for Poole at 0600 on the Sunday.

I wasn't sure it was you, just saw a very nice looking Tradewind 35 and walked up after dinner to see if it was you, not too many 35s about.

How come you all seem to know each other's boat names when they're not in your profiles ? Is this a secret society ? funny handshakes & pinnies ?

<hr width=100% size=1>a pragmatist is an optimist with a boat in the UK - but serious about not being in the UK !

Only 'cos it USED to be in his profile, otherwise rest assured I'm not a member of the inner circle, for one thing I don't speak the language and another I can't do funny handshakes!

Changes to both Northwood and Offenbach fax schedules have been published in the UKHO weekly NM's for appropriate publications such as NP281 & NP289.
