I live in a place just outside Liverpool called Manchester. I retire soon and am looking to replace a boat I sold a few years ago, and I am also looking for the cheapest place to dock it. Anywhere from Birkenhead up to Fleetwood would be ideal. TIA.

It would depend on what you call to dock it, even Fleetwood marina is expensive now, the cheaper options are to rent a jetty on the river Wyre, this can be done from the council site, or use Wardleys or Blackpool and Fleetwood yacht club, both offer storage ashore, some jetty moorings may be for rent, it is of course tidal and is not for the fainthearted or novice, it can be very difficult to go down the river to exit at Fleetwood. you do not mention the size or draft of your boat, this will make a difference.
